The rear impact went deeper behind the bumper: with the bumper removed the rear panel can be seen to be crumpled, and the end of the left rear quarter panel at the light recess is plastically creased - clear metal folds are visible at the weld joint between the quarter panel and the rear panel and at the lower part of the side member end. The left rear light and its socket are damaged, wiring harness torn off, exhaust end deformed. On a 2025 X7 the mixed steel-aluminium body makes straightening such a rear end expensive and the result unpredictable.
